About
Originally trained in Judaism of the Graeco-Roman World and in Palestinian Judaism during the Rabbinic Period, I now focus most of my research energies on the Targums (Aramaic translations of the Hebrew Bible) and on the early synagogue.
At the University of Wyoming, I serve as the founding director of the Religious Studies Program. After the full-time faculty increased from one to five in recent years, the trustees have now approved a Bachelors degree in Religious Studies.
